They knew exactly what they were doing. And they didn’t think about you in that moment.

So why are you still thinking about them?

Rechannel that energy towards yourself. Control your thoughts. I know it’s hard. Maybe even the hardest thing you ever had to do. But you got it. You can get through this.

Fill that void with self-love. They are not special. They never were. Your love made them special. Never forget that. Without your love they are just average. That’s it. Average. Not special.

They hurt you. Intentionally. They ghosted you, ignored your needs, left you, because that’s what they chose to do. They were thinking about it for some time before they left. It was their concious choice. They chose to hurt you. So stop making excuses for them. Stop trying to understand the reasons behind their decision. Stop blaming yourself. Stop overanalyzing every little detail of that relationship. Nothing you could have done, would have changed their decision. 

Because people who are supposed to stay always find a way to stay. If they have a thousand reasons to leave, they choose that one reason to stay. They choose to make things work. No matter how hard life gets, they always choose to stay. If they chose to leave, let them go. Why do you keep holding on to them? Why do you keep choosing them? They already decided not to choose you.

They know what’s best for them. And they decided it’s not you. It breaks your heart, but accept the truth. You are not their choice. And that’s fine. That means they shouldn’t be your choice either. Why would you want to keep people who are not right for you? What if you holding on to the wrong people makes you miss out on the right ones? And they are the wrong ones. Don’t fool yourself. If they didn’t choose you, they are the wrong ones. The right people will always choose you. 

Let go of the wrong people. Choose to let them go. Stop choosing to keep them in your life. Stop hurting yourself by choosing the people who want to leave. Let them be gone. Choose yourself instead. Let me say that again. CHOOSE YOURSELF. Always and forever. Again and again. And remember – the wrong people will never choose you. No matter what. But the right ones will always choose you. No matter what.
